Nariman A. Irani (? - December 10, 1977) was an Bollywood cinematographer and film producer. He is most known for his film, the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don (1978) made under his banner Nariman Films. He died in an accident, even before Don was even completed, eventually the film was a big hit and lead to the Don film franchise.

As a cinematographer he is known for his films like Talash, Saraswatichandra and Phool Aur Patthar and Roti Kapada Aur Makaan. He won the 16th National Film Awards for Best Cinematography (B & W) for Saraswatichandra (1968)., he also won the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematographer in the same year.

While Don was still under production, he was badly hurt, when after a sudden cloudburst in November 1977, a wall fell on him while he was preparing to take a shot for an another film at Rajkamal Studios, Mumbai. Though he was hospitalised, but died a few days later.

Don, chef d'un gang international, est traqué puis tué par un officier de police, le commissaire D'Silva. Celui-ci décide de ne révéler à personne la mort de Don. Lorsqu'il rencontre Vijay, parfait sosie de Don, il lui propose un marché. Vijay se fera passer pour Don et infiltrera le gang. En retour, D'Silva apportera à Vijay l'aide matérielle qui lui permettra d'élever les deux enfants qu'il a recueillis. Vijay accepte et parvient à berner les complices de Don. Malheureusement, D'Silva meurt. Vijay se retrouve alors seul, traqué à la fois par la police et par les complices de Don qui ont fini par s'apercevoir de la substitution.

This is a story about two guys who act as mock witnesses and always hang around court to give evidence as per the requirement of the case every time. They have never believed in God but eventually they have to accept the power of God. Ahmed and Mohan Kumar Saxena are petty thieves, and con-men. They career is spent as false witnesses near the Bombay courts, where they get paid a set sum of rupees for false depositions. This changes when they meet and are influenced by Kabir Das, and decide to go straight. They find that it's virtually impossible to earn a living as honest citizens. Then Kabir Das is arrested and imprisoned by a murder he claims he did not commit, and the duo promise to help him, and find out who the real killer is, but they themselves end up getting in trouble.

The setting is the city of Lucknow in northern India, where Islamic culture flourished. Two of the three best friends who live in this city have fallen in love with the same woman named Jameela unknowingly. Aslam (Guru Dutt) and Nawab (Rehman) are the two friends caught in this love triangle with Jameela (Waheeda Rehman). An integral part of any Guru Dutt film, comic relief was provided by Johnny Walker who plays Mirza Masaraddik Shaiza.

The film is set in Lucknow, where widower, Nawab Mirza Sultan lives with daughter Zeenat Jahan in an old mansion. She falls in love with Nawab Yusuf (Pradeep Kumar), but in a twist of fate, her uncle connivingly fixes her marriage with Nawab Sikandar Mirza (Ashok Kumar), though she assumes it is with Yusuf. When she finds the truth, it is the day of marriage, thus she visits a nearby dargah (Sufi shrine), hoping to meet Yusuf, not knowing that he is out of town. Thus, he never arrives and Zeenat faints. Back home marriage commences without her, while wakes up the following day, at the home of courtesan, Nazeeran Bai (Lalita Pawar), who had rescued her from the dargah.

Set in Simla in 1929, Rajkumar Mehta (Dev Anand), or Raju as he is lovingly called, has just returned from England. He meets his childhood friend, Pushpa (Nutan), and tells her about the situation at home. Raju's father, Mehta (K.N. Singh) wanted him to continue with the family business, but Raju ended up learning music instead. This leads to constant tiffs between the two, as Mehta considers music a profession for beggars. Raju doesn't show it, but he is in love with Pushpa, and she loves him back. More trouble stirs when Captain Prem Nath (Krishan Dhawan) expresses his will to marry Pushpa.
