Ankit, Pallavi & Friends is a Telugu-language Indian film released in 2008. Set in contemporary times, it follows the lives of five friends pursuing their post-college dreams, tracing their friendships, love lives, and careers.
The film focusses mainly on the love story between the two leads Nikhil Siddharth (of Happy Days fame) and Megha (of Bru commercial fame). Ankit (Nikhil) is a carefree youngster who likes to live on his terms. He aspires to become a renowned musician. His parents support him. Pallavi (Megha Burman) is an exact opposite of Ankit. While Ankit believes in living life to the fullest, without a care in the world, Pallavi is seen working hard all the time. She is a software engineer in a big multinational.
The two are childhood friends and they have three other common friends. One wants to go to the US at any cost and is all the time making trips to the US consulate for visa. The other wants to do social service. The third dreams of starting his own business but does not know what business to enter.
Over a period of time, Ankit nd Palavi fall in love. But Pallavi does not like the carefree attitude of Ankit and his casual approach to life. She chides him for this and tells him that unless he takes his life seriously, she will leave him. They part ways at the interval bang.
As luck would have it, Ankit manages to land a offer to compose the music for a programme being conducted by the UNICEF for an orphanage. His friend manages to land a job at the same orphanage. The orphanage is run by Sita.
Ankit becomes a big star afer the success of his musical show. He is now a celebrity. Pallavi still longs to be with Ankit but is afraid to meet him as she thinks that Ankit will misunderstand her for coming to him only after seeing his success. Ankit also misses Pallavi very badly. The friends then plan a party and invite both Ankit and Pallavi, with the hope of bringing them together and become successful.
The Film argues that happiness is a choice and that it is right around us only if we choose to pick it. It opened to good reviews.

A Gold Vinayaka Idol of value of nearly ₹100 million in the International Market is stolen by the temple priest (Vishvesh) of the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple with the help of a Security Guard. The Idol, which actually belongs to the newly found treasure of the Temple is sold to a mysterious person who dies after his car meets with an accident. A kid takes the Idol from the ground and presents it to his friend who in turn presents it to her daughter in law. That man sells this Idol to a Goldsmith at Alappuzha of Kerala for ₹6,000. That Goldsmith sells it to another rich man at Mangalore of Karnataka for ₹37,000. He in turn sells it to another rich man at Shimoga of Karnataka for ₹1,90,000. This idol is sold to another rich man at Bellary of Karnataka for ₹0.5 million. Th idol is sold to a millionaire at Thiruchanur of Tamil Nadu for 2 million which in turn is sold at Madurai for 6 million which reaches to a Trader at Hyderabad for a value of ₹11 million.

Because of a mistake by Lord Brahma, Naresh (Allari Naresh) is born a month early without the mandatory ‘Thalaratha’. Due to this, Naresh does not have the normal human attributes like death or disease, which are inherently unknown to him. He is also addicted to mythological dramas and takes part in them actively. During one such Swayamvaram drama, Lord Yama’s daughter Yamaja (Richa Panai) is deliberately brought to the proceedings by Narada Maharshi (Naresh). Yamaja marries Naresh in that play and takes him for her husband in real life too. She keeps hounding him and slowly, Naresh reciprocates her feelings. Rajaji (Rajendra Prasad) is a middle aged man who does not have any dependents as both his wife and daughter die. His daughter takes her life because of the rejection from her boy friend. Rajaji is so much depressed with the entire episode that he too wants to die. He gathers like-minded people with suicide tendencies. He arranges a bus trip to Srisailam where they want to jump the bus from the highest cliff. Meanwhile this news is leaked to the cops. And the cops are in search of these people. Along the way the passengers on the bus come to realize that their problems are very insignificant and that they were not worth taking their life. Rajaji reveals that was his plan all along, but on their way back the bus's brakes get stuck. Rajaji saves all the passengers, but he himself can not get out. However, the police arrive just in time to save him.

Happy Days tells us a story that explores the lives of eight friends through the four years of their engineering course. Each one of them joins Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology with their own set of idiosyncrasies, eccentricities, beliefs and ideals. What starts off as a journey of individuals, slowly becomes a collective one over time. They bond over as they go through bullying seniors, stringent professors, intense examinations, over the top celebrations, love, betrayal, sacrifice and every other possible emotion that an individual can experience in a college. The movie portrays the mindset of a typical engineering student which helped youth to connect with the characters involved.
