Synopsis
Deepa, une étudiante de Delhi, sort depuis longtemps avec Sanjay, à qui elle est promise. Sanjay est joyeux et plein d'humour, mais manque de sérieux. Un jour, Deepa rencontre un ancien petit ami, Navin, qui est l'exact contraire de Sanjay : il est sérieux et très serviable. Deepa devra alors choisir entre les deux hommes.Acteurs

Chhoti Si Baat is a romantic comedy about a painfully shy young man Arun Pradeep (Amol Palekar), who lacks self-confidence and fails to stand up for his convictions, in the process letting all and sundry walk all over him. Naive and easily influenced Ajay Prasad has been married for several years, and lives in remote India with his wife and a son. The family receive an invitation to attend a wedding in Bombay. Rosie Perreira (Pearl Padamsee) is an overly anxious widow, living with her violin-obsessed son, Shabi (Ranjit Chowdhry) and a lovely daughter, Nancy (Tina Munim) who she would like to get married to a wealthy young man. Tom also asks Nancy to introduce Tony to Rosie, which she does. Rosie is initially apprehensive about him as he only drawing a mere Rs.300/ compared to Nancy's Rs.700/-, but soon changes her mind when she finds out that after his probationary period he will draw a monthly pay of Rs.1000/-. Nancy and Tony are permitted to meet and both eventually fall in love. While Nancy has a past where she was betrayed by a boy whom she loved,she still likes Tony. Tony is hesitant, and this is what costs him Nancy's love, as Rosie feels that he will not come through with the marriage. And soon Rosie starts looking elsewhere for a son-in-law. Nancy does not like this but she at first accepts whatever her mom wants.Nancy and Tony have a fight and stop meeting each other in the train as well. When Tom comes to know about this he speaks to Tony's dad. Tony's dad tells tony that if he is still reluctant to make any commitments, he should tell Nancy about the same. So Nancy and Tony meet each other and Nancy tells him that she will never meet him again. It is then that Tony feels that he actually loves Nancy and cannot live without her. Then Nancy also confesses her love for him and they get married happily.

À la suite du décès de leurs parents, Muskaan (Kajol) et son frère Vishal (Arbaaz Khan) ont été élevés à la campagne par leur oncle et leur tante. Celle-ci reçoit de nombreuses propositions de mariage de bonnes familles mais Vishal les rejette toutes les unes après les autres. Il fait subir à chaque prétendant un test : le tour de sa propriété à cheval mais qui tourne au drame à chaque fois… Seul celui qui réussira le test pourra épouser Muskaan. Lorsque cette dernière tombe amoureuse de Suraj Khanna (Salman Khan) rencontré à l’université, elle le présente à sa famille et Vishaal le soumet à son test mais Suraj échoue. Vishaal veut alors que Muskaan épouse le frère de Thakur Vijay Singh (Aashif Sheikh) sans savoir que Thakur Vijay Singh (Nirmal Pandey) ne souhaite cette union que dans le but de se venger de la famille de Muskaan pour un différend que les deux familles avaient eu il y a longtemps.
