Wafadaar (1985) is a Bollywood action flick wherein Daya Sagar (Anupam Kher) plots to obtain the wealth of Rajgiri (Kader Khan). Suraj and Malti are in love and get very intimate. They are introduced to their respective families, and there is approval all round, and their marriage is to be finalized soon. Before that could happen, Suraj meets with an accident and is killed instantly, leaving Malti devastated. Malti's dad, Charandas, is shocked to find that Malti is pregnant, and both of them re-locate to a secluded area, where Malti's gives birth to a baby boy. Chakradhar (Nandamuri Balakrishna) is a famous movie actor though his mother (Jayasudha) doesn’t approve of his celebrity status. Instead, she yearns to see her son as a Major in the Army, true to the promise she has given to Bobbili Puli (N. T. Rama Rao). As Chakradhar dons various roles, an army Colonel Jeetendra (Murali Mohan) tells him that he has a story in which he wants Chakradhar to act. The Colonel narrates him a story of an army major – Major Jaya Simha (again Balakrishna). However, there is a catch. Major Jaya Simha is not a fictional character, but a real time army man who looks ditto like Chakradhar, and valiantly arrested a dreaded terrorist – Abdul Ghani. The tragedy is Jaya Simha is now in a vegetable state (on ventilation), thanks to a conspiracy plotted by politicians, few army men and terrorists themselves. Colonel Jeetendra asks Chakradhar to act like Major to ensure that the nation’s security plans are not compromised. How Chakradhar attacks the terrorists and how he brings back the honor of the Major forms the rest of the story.

Later he was given a task to repair an family clock which he accidentally breaks, to buy a replica of the watch he took part in a race to earn some money. He won the race and bought the clock but when he went home he gets beaten by his in laws because his sister's husband had lost his job and he again blames him for being so unlucky his sister cannot tolerate this and just asks her brother to go away and leave the house. He comes to know that the blind girls mother is seriously ill so he brings a doctor but it was too late and her mother died. Story shifts to Sanjeev Kumar a superstitious rich man who was losing his everything in betting and gambling. one day he encountersKamal Haasan while going for a bet and he wins the bet very first time in his life he brings him home as he finds him lucky, as Sanjeev Kumar has no kids he adopted Kamal Haasan after various profitable deals. Kamal Haasan marries the blind girl and gives her treatment at a hospital for her eyesight she got her eye sight back and Sanjeev Kumar after a long time became father. Everything was going well until Kamal Haasan gets cancer due to eating rotten food for long term at his in laws house. Later he was blamed for poisoning his new born brother for inheritance but when his mother get to know that he is already suffering from cancer, she was sorry later her own brother was guilty and then Kamal Haasan dies in his parents arms. It is a beautiful movie and has a sad ending.
