Jigariyaa is an Bollywood romantic film. The film is directed by Raj Purohit introducing Harshvardhan Deo and Cherry Mardia in lead roles. The first look of the film was unveiled by Rohit Shetty in Mumbai on August 26, 2014. The film is inspired by true events released on 10 October 2014.

Synopsis

Inspired from true events, Jigariyaa tells the story of Shyamlal Gupta (Shaamu) and Radhika Sharma (Raadha). Shaamu, the only son of halwaai Ramlal Gupta is a happy go lucky boy based in Agra. He spends his days writing sheyr-o-shayari admired by his motley group of good-for-nothing friends. Radhika, the only daughter of Pandit Shankar Dayal Sharma is a well educated and caring girl who helps her father in his endeavours as a social do gooder and a man of high reputation in Mathura. Shaamu falls in love with Raadha at first sight, who is visiting her Nani’s house in Agra, thus begins his quest to find this elusive girl in the streets of Agra. As they grow fond and close to each other, the destiny takes another turn and the two lovers break apart.

M. Negi vient d’être muté à l’ambassade indienne de Saint-Pétersbourg. Il s’installe avec sa femme et ses deux filles, Dhana et Lucky, dans cette ville inconnue. L’adaptation à cette nouvelle vie est difficile. Un matin d’examen, sur le chemin de l’école, Lucky évite de justesse de se faire agresser et va se cacher à l'intérieur d'une voiture. The story centers around a small town entrepreneur named Maniram who makes a major profit by cheating people and selling them tainted food. The film is set in 1929, in a small town in Central India. Francis Massey (Raghubir Yadav) is a clerk in the Deputy Commissioner's office in the colonial administration of British India. He aspires to be like the colonial rulers, and thinks of himself as different from his Indian compatriots. In his wish to help the rulers – in particular, his immediate superior, Deputy Commissioner Charles Adam (Barry John) – he adopts methods that are irregular. Adam's dream project of building a road through the forest is stuck for lack of funds. Massey manages to get it completed using a mixture of manipulation, persuasion and threats. To his surprise, he is accused of corruption by the very boss whom he had meant to help, and who had condoned his earlier transgressions. His wife too is forcefully taken back by her family. He turns for help to his friend Banaji (Veerendra Saxena) to get his wife back.Banaji refuses to help him. In an act of frustrated rage, Massey kills Banaji. He is arrested for murder, and Adam advises him to plead guilty to accidental manslaughter. However, Massey refuses, secure in the belief that his Adam Sahib will help him out, leading to the tragic denouement.
